Toggle1. REGISTER NO.4:(As per B.S.O 15)
- This register is called as “register of Dharakhats” and is used for assignment work.
- All applications for assignment of government wasteland or Poramboke land are entered in this register.
- One serial number is given for each Fasli year.
- Enquiry by revenue Inspector and d-form attached by the tahsildar.
- D form relates to conditions generally applicable for any assignment.
- If however a portion of the Survey field or subdivision is assigned the new subdivision is to be measured on the ground.
- The new subdivision shall be recorded in the 8-A register.
- The new subdivision is to be incorporated in village and Taluk records.
- This file is closed and divided into two parts for disposal.
-Part 1 consists of the order of assignment
and conditions attached and it retains
permanently.
-Part 2 contain correspondence and it
destroyed after 10 years. - Where new survey fields are formed, formalities described in sections 6 to 13 of the survey and boundaries act 1923 should be followed.
- After fieldwork done by the Deputy surveyor is inspected by the inspecting officer that is 16% by the surveyor and 4% per the deputy inspector of the survey.
- Here subdivision work is done in advance and subdivision fees are recovered from the assignee at the time of granting patta.

2. Register No.5:(As per B.S.O 33)
- This register is called the “register of relinquishment”.
- All the applications for the relinquishment of Patta lands will be registered.
- All such land will be registered as assessed waste.
- The part fields which are held to release may do subdivision and the classification may change to government land and tax may be reduced.
- After revenue enquiry is over the relinquishment file is separated into two parts
-Part 1 consists of sanction for
relinquishment
-Part 2 consists of correspondence. - Government is interested since the classification of Patta land is changed to government waste and no subdivision fees is recovered.

3. Register No.6:(As per B.S.O 31)
- This Register is called as “register of transfer of registry” or “Patta transfer”.
- This may include the transfer of Holdings or portions of holding on account of sale, deed, partition, succession etc.,
- This may be done in two sections
-Section 1 consists of cases forwarded
by registration department
-Section 2 consists of other cases detected
by Karnams or revenue inspector - Entire field i.e., survey number, subdivision changes after conducting necessary enquiries by revenue Inspector, the tahsildar orders for incorporation of changes in the village and Taluk accounts and the file is closed after incorporation of changes.
- But changes related to the portion of survey number, subdivision then further action to get new subdivision measured an incorporated in village accounts and Taluka Clerk is watched by transferring the file to 8-A register.
- Unless the concerned ryots remit the prescribed subdivision fees in the treasury and enclose the Challan to application for transfer of registry, no action can be taken.
- Subdivision fees is collected along with the application since the new subdivision is done in his own interest.

4. Register No.7:(As per B.S.O 90 & 91)
- This register is called as “register of changes of classification”.
- The classification changes may be done due to land nature being changed from dry to wet or vice versa and waste to Poramboke or vice versa.
- In other registers 4, 5, 6 the initial action for sanction of change is taken in the particular register itself.
- It is also maintained for a Fasli year. An alphabetical index list of villages should be prefixed to this Register.
- In this register entries are made only after the change has been sanctioned.

5. Register No.8A:(As per B.S.O 34(A) & 13(B) para 7)
- This register is called as “current register”.
- Survey fields and subdivisions will be registered when newly formed.
- Some changes caused by registers 4, 5, 6, 7 will be recorded in the respective registers before the files are finalized.
- The sanctioned sub-division file will be entered in it and sent to the Mandal Surveyor for verification of measurements and correction in village accounts. This shall be notified in the District gazette and village by Section 13 of the Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.
