Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026. Technical Surveyor operates technicalsurveyor.in (the “Site”). This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how advertising works on the Site, and your choices. Contact: admin@technicalsurveyor.in.

Information we collect

• Tools and calculators run in your browser. Form values you enter for survey calculators and notice generators are processed locally or on our server only to produce the document you request; we do not sell that content.
• Server logs may include IP address, browser type, request URL, and timestamps (hosting provider: Hostinger).
• Contact / report forms collect the details you submit (name, email, message, optional page URL) so we can reply.
• Newsletter / app waitlist collect your email when you opt in.
• Theme preference (light/dark) is stored in your browser via localStorage — not on our servers.

Cookies and local storage

We use limited first-party storage for site preferences. Third-party services we load (for example fonts, maps libraries, or advertising) may set their own cookies as described below.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to display ads. In line with Google AdSense required content:

• Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
• Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also visit www.aboutads.info/choices to opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising.

When ads are active, our pages may load scripts from Google domains such as googlesyndication.com, doubleclick.net, and related Google advertising domains.

Authorized sellers (ads.txt)

We publish an ads.txt file at the site root listing Google as an authorized digital seller for our inventory, following the IAB Tech Lab ads.txt standard and Google’s ads.txt guide.

How we use information

• Operate and improve guides, tools, and site performance
• Respond to contact form and correction reports
• Send waitlist or newsletter messages only if you subscribed
• Measure aggregate traffic and, when enabled, show relevant advertising

We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

Contact and waitlist records are kept only as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law. Server logs are retained according to our host’s default rotation.

Children

The Site is intended for professionals and students of land surveying. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

• Use browser controls to block or delete cookies
• Opt out of personalized ads via Ads Settings
• Email us to correct or delete contact/waitlist data we hold about you

Third-party links and tools

Guides may link to government portals or external resources. Their privacy practices are their own. Some tools load third-party libraries (for example mapping or document libraries) under those vendors’ terms.

Changes

We may update this policy as the Site or advertising setup changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
